Project description:
A kinetic sculpture suspended in a circle of light and multi-channel sound. Biological processes meet mechanical motion through metaphor: breathing, pulsing, contracting. The piece oscillates between something familiar and something unsettling.
In the "Atem" project, my primary role was in the technical design, focusing on the sound and movement components. I hacked a 230V winch for wireless remote control, and integrated multi-channel audio within the circle.
