Making of Exhibizz (2025)

My name is Antonín Kindl, I am a Czech artist born in 2000, working with new media and installations at the intersection of technology and art. In my work, I create electrified perceptual systems driven by a deep interest in how perception operates and how it can be materialized in space.

I research the evolving relationship between humans and machines, transforming conventional technical artifacts into electronic organisms that sense and respond to their surroundings. I’m interested in how machines perceive the world and how that changes the way we see ourselves. My installations often invite active participation, turning observation into a shared experience. For me, technology is not a passive tool but a living medium capable of initiating dialogue and interaction. I believe artists should not only use technology, but also question it, reimagine it, and give it a new kind of presence.

Thanks to my background in graphic design and multimedia, I’ve developed a strong technical foundation while maintaining an artistic approach. I completed my Master’s degree at MediaLab*, a studio focused on exploring phenomena such as time, interactivity, and multimedia in visual art. My diploma project System explored perceptive, autonomous machines and reinforced my long-term interest in evolution, feedback, and agency in machine behavior.

An important part of my work is research and experimentation. I enjoy documenting the process and exploring dead ends that lead nowhere. These moments often produce unexpected insights and drive the research forward. I believe in the power of art to humanize technology, open up its internal logics and make them visible, tactile, and sometimes even playful. Beyond my personal artistic research, I participate in exhibitions, festivals, and collaborations across Europe, both independently and collectively. I also collaborate with clients and organizations on commissioned projects closely related to my research interests.
